SAHAJA

SAHAJA

An Introduction to Sahaja Yoga

Who are we? Who are we really? What is our purpose here? And how can we make this a better world? Sahaja Yoga answers these questions. It answers them not only intellectually, in the form of an idea, and not only as a felt response, in the form of a mood of the heart, but also as an actual living happening. Practical, simple, and free, it transforms us from within and thereby brings about the evolution that we seek. Shri Mataji Nirmala Devi, the founder of this Yoga, advised the author of Sahaja that he should write a substantial account of her discovery. This book, whose aim is to offer a rounded understanding of and thorough grounding in Sahaja Yoga, is the result.

REVIEW

If the intrinsic lustre radiating from buried treasure could write a book which guides us to that self-same treasure , “Sahaja”, would be that book. The buried treasure is the “Kundalini”, a reflection of the Primordial Being which lies dormant or semi awakened within each of us. Upon its authentic awakening, it rises up the spinal column from the sacrum bone and pierces the fontanel uniting us with the all-pervading power. It is the next and most joyful, stage in human evolution. Transforming and balancing. Upon reading Christopher Greaves account, one recognizes the heart-felt profundity of an enlightened soul. He tells of his inner search for the meaning behind existence itself. And then about the spontaneous awakening of his own kundalini in the presence of an inspiring, sacred personality, when he was 26 years old, more than 30 years ago. He then goes on to give a thorough and insightful, description of the subtle system upon which our gross bodies are hung. Often writing as though in meditation.
Ever conscious of modern scepticism and the ironic thinking before which this wisdom is being cast. He writes with an eloquent modesty, using quotes and analogy from classic mythology and literature, not for ostentation but for explanation.

REVIEW

...then you must read this. A touching account of a life spent spent trying to find answers to the 'big questions' regarding our existence. Who are we, where did we come from and where are we going? to mention a few. How can we discriminate between fake and genuine gurus? ....well, you just might find the answer in this book. I found this to be a riveting story of one man's honest and humble attempt to chart the course of his life time of seeking the Truth and how his life was changed by his encounters with Shri Mataji and the practice of Sahaja Yoga. Enough said - this will change your life too.

REVIEW

This book is one of the best that I have read on the subject of spirituality in general, and Sahaja Yoga specifically. It gently reveals the information from the heartfelt perspective of the writer, who is extremely knowledgeable and well-versed in the history of spiritual seeking, has had ample direct experience with the Sahaja Yoga system. The somewhat stream-of-conciousness style of writing is inviting, and only serves to lend credibility to the subject matter. Highly recommended; I am purchasing several more to give as gifts!
