REVIEW:
Savitribai’s Kaavya Phule is a masterful collections of poems about secret to India’s progress during British India. It shows her effort to raise the status of underpriviliged population in the time that was trying to suppress dissent. This book is a testament to Priyamwada's lifelong translating Marathi books to English and her ability to weave together information, and storytelling into a compelling narrative. It’s a must-read for anyone interested in understanding how Savitribai's literature in British India shaped the life of Shudras and Dalits of the world we live in today. In fact she was the one who coined this term "Dalits" to help all the Savarna women specially upper caste women and Dalit population to learn and move towards a future which will help in human evolution. P.S.: The illustrations in the books are unique and make pleasant reading experience.
