William Blake’s prophecies of Sahaja Yoga is a topic that appears very often in Shri Mataji’s lectures. Some of these prophecies can be found in a book that Blake wrote called "Milton: a Poem." This prophetic book is often simply called "Milton." It is in this book that we find prophecies about England becoming the New Jerusalem and how the Virgin (Mother Goddess) would come at the end of time to deliver salvation to humankind.

These prophecies are so important to Sahaja Yoga that Shri Mataji declared that Milton: a Poem is all about Sahaja Yoga. Additionally, this book contains prophecies about Shri Mataji’s first two long-term residences in the UK, as well as a prophecy about the first permanent Sahaja Yoga ashram in the UK.

In 1983, talking about William Blake’s prophecies, Shri Mataji said:

Only a hundred of years back, a great seer known as William Blake was born in England. In a book called "Milton," he identified Milton with a seeker. And he has said so clearly about Sahaja Yoga, that it is really surprising that such a seer was born in England. He has said that the men of God will become prophets and these prophets will have powers to make other prophets.
