This book contains pictures of Shri Mataji Nirmala devi regarded by many as a Guru of the greatest magnitude.

The word guru has a very specific meaning. Gu = ignorance. Ru = dispeller. Hence a uru should be able to remove the veil of spiritual ignorance and illusion which engulfs the human condition.

Traditionally a Guru would accept only one or two aspirants at a time who might well have to demonstrate their worthiness prior ro being accepted for training. The Guru having accepted a 'Seeker of Truth' would then give direction to the aspirant to prepare them for their spiritual ascent, growth and hopefully Self Realisation.
