THE DAY OF BRAHMA

Our soul thirsts for the wellspring of life within us and for guidance on how to find it. Somewhere deep down we all sense the burbling of a spring where age-old weariness washes away and the pain of the soul wounded along the way disappears. Somewhere in the memory of the generations is hidden the knowledge of how to reach the primeval ocean of silence, whose salty taste we sense in our veins.

We all yearn to live in harmony with the mystery that fills the world and from which our body and soul are woven. We seek to discover its traces in the morning chill through the window, in the aroma of coffee on the table, among the passengers on a crowded bus, in the wrinkled brow of the boss, in the impassive face of the computer – the deity of our world. We would like to receive some kind of intimation which helps us to experience the divine presence, not in the Himalayas nor at Rila Lakes, but here and now. To recognise it behind the fakery of everyday life.
