You call me Holy Mother, but are you respectful?

Do you know what I am? Ganesha knew.

He does not know any other God but his Mother. For Him, nothing exists but his Mother. He is so dedicated.

There is a story that once Parvati, his Mother, said, “I will give you a big present. There should be a competition between you two brothers.”

Kartikeya had a nice vahana, a nice vehicle. It was a peacock, while Ganesha had just a little rat, a mouse.

She said, “Whosoever goes round this Earth, I will give you a prize.”

The conveyance of Kartikeya is such a fast one. It is a peacock. So he got onto his peacock and started flying off like an airplane.

Shri Ganesha’s conveyance is just a little mouse, so what should he do? He took to wisdom.

He said, “Who can be greater than my Mother? She has created all the Gods. She’s the Mahakali. She’s the Adi Shakti. She has created all the universes. She’s the one who has done everything. Who can be greater than her? She’s the greatest of all. What is this Mother Earth or anyone? She can create so many Mother Earths like that.”

So he just went around her only three times and he got the prize. And still Kartikeya was flying in the air.
