'Henryk's Escape' is an epic tale of his survival. The book follows Henryk’s story and gives the insight into his inner world of memories, flashbacks from the labour camp and his dreams, some of which guided him on his way home. 'Henryk's Escape’ is a survival story, containing many survival in nature tips. The book highlights an important part of World War II history which is not a very well known outside of Poland. Almost all children over the age of fourteen were sent away to do slave labour for the German Reich. Many of them did not survive. It is a subject difficult to research in Poland as it is not properly documented or talked about. The book is addressed to young adults or anyone interested in history, in survival and art.
